Retrostageus.shop, a recently established website, has been flagged as a fraudulent online store. Only 32 days old at the time of this report, the website lacks a customer service contact number, raising suspicions. Its content, far from original, is a mere imitation of other similar sites. Moreover, the goods being marketed on the website are fake, and their low-quality materials could potentially be harmful. The site, rather than using its own images, employs stock photos for the products it purports to sell. A number of incomplete webpages clutter the site, filled with generic content and filler text. Furthermore, the company has no presence on social media platforms.
Imagine walking into a store that seems like any other, but there’s something off. The products look familiar, yet they’re not quite right. You realize soon enough that they’re counterfeits, poor imitations of the real thing. That’s what a fake store scam is about. Only, it’s online. It’s a website that looks legitimate but sells knockoff products, often using stolen images to trick you into thinking they’re genuine. It’s a dangerous game, and you’re the target.
